Shepparton Apology Breakfast
Shepparton Apology Breakfast
We had the privilege of attending the Shepparton Apology Breakfast to acknowledge the 18th Anniversary of the National Apology.
It was a moving and significant event, offering an important moment for reflection as we continue to walk alongside our First Nations communities in the spirit of understanding, respect, and reconciliation.
All Saints Anglican School was honoured to be invited to deliver the reading of the Kevin Rudd ‘Sorry Statement’ at this year’s ceremony.
Our Middle School Chapel Captains, Isobel Black Griffin and Chloe Raleigh, represented our school with great maturity and dignity as they carried out this responsibility.
Their thoughtful delivery, and genuine respect for the significance of the occasion were commendable, and they should be very proud of their contribution.
We would like to thank the organisers for bringing the community together for such a meaningful event, and to acknowledge the importance of continuing to listen, learn, and engage with our First Nations peoples as we work toward a future built on understanding and reconciliation.
