Chapel
At All Saints Anglican School, our weekly Chapel services are a central and cherished part of school life, reflecting our identity as an Anglican school. Each week, students come together for a 45-minute service that includes music, singing, prayer, readings, and reflection. These moments offer a meaningful pause in the school week—an opportunity to connect, celebrate shared values, and grow spiritually.
Rooted in the Anglican tradition, Chapel is led by our Coordinator of Faith and Mission, with the active involvement of students and staff, Chapel often incorporates themes from our wellbeing and values education programs, encouraging students to make connections between faith, personal growth, and their place in the world.
We instill Christian values in a way that is inclusive and respectful, encouraging students of all faiths to share their beliefs.
However, we are also proudly inclusive and recognise the rich diversity within our school community. Students of other faiths are welcomed and encouraged to share their traditions during significant times in their religious calendars—such as Ramadan—helping to promote understanding, empathy, and mutual respect.
We have used Chapel as a space to reflect on important occasions such as ANZAC Day and Reconciliation Week, always connecting these moments back to our Christian ethos.
Our school motto is central to the desire we have to build a culture of service in our community. Students are encouraged to look beyond themselves to build the capcity to serve the needs of others. One example of this is our annual coin collection to support a local charity, a student-led initiative celebrated in Chapel that reinforces the importance of service, generosity, and compassion.
Through Chapel, we integrate the spiritual and moral dimensions of education, ensuring students receive not only academic knowledge, but a strong foundation in empathy, respect, and ethical responsibility.
