Reconciliation Week

Reconciliation Week

As part of our Recognition of National Reconciliation Week, All Saints Anglican School was privileged to welcome renowned Yorta Yorta Aboriginal singer-songwriter, educator and speaker Scott Darlow, alongside his daughters Kiah and Summer, for a truly meaningful and engaging day of learning.

The visit began with a whole school assembly, where Scott and his daughters captivated students and staff through music, storytelling and powerful performances. Their message was both simple and profound: “If you call Australia home, then you are Australian.”

This message of unity, inclusion, and shared identity strongly resonated across our school community.

After assembly, Scott, Kiah and Summer spent time in a number of Middle School music classes and concluded the day with all of Year 9 for the last two lessons.

This visit provided our students with a rich and authentic cultural experience, encouraging reflection, respect and connection. It highlighted the importance of reconciliation and strengthened our commitment to building understanding within our school community.

We thank Scott, Kiah and Summer for sharing their gifts with us and for creating such a memorable and impactful experience for our students and staff.
