Official Opening of Stage 2A
Official Opening of Stage 2A
On Monday, we had the great joy of celebrating the Official Opening Ceremony of Stage 2A, marking the completion of our new Middle School and Junior School buildings.
We were honoured to welcome Rev. Peter Laurence OAM, CEO of AngliSchools, who delivered an inspiring address, reflecting on the growth and vision of our school.
Lynne Thomson, Board Chair of AngliSchools, also shared words of encouragement, recognising the importance of these new facilities in supporting the learning and wellbeing of our students and together with our School Council Chair, John Gilson, unveiled the official plaque.
The Right Reverend Clarence E. Bester offered a beautiful blessing over the new buildings.
We also deeply appreciated the Welcome to Country delivered by Uncle Bobby Nichols, grounding our celebration in respect and acknowledgement of Country and culture. Among our invited guests were principals from other AngliSchools, representatives from Keystone Building Group, Kim O’Keeffe MP, Mayor Shane Sali, several councillors from the City of Greater Shepparton, and members of our own School Council. Their presence made the occasion even more meaningful.
A particular highlight was the role our student leaders played in running the ceremony. They represented the school with confidence, pride, and maturity. Our choir also made us exceptionally proud as they performed beautifully, singing songs written by Mr Fenby and Mr Boyer.
Following the official proceedings, we held a short Turning of the Sod Ceremony to mark the commencement of our next major project, the extension to our STEAM facilities. This exciting development will continue to strengthen the opportunities available to our students as we look to the future.
