Anglican Identity Day
Anglican Identity Day
All staff travelled to Cathedral College Wangaratta on Tuesday June 10 to hear from a number of people about what it means to work in in Anglican School.
There are 18,000 students enrolled across the 16 schools of the AngliSchools system; 3,500 of those attend one of the four eastern state schools. The system employees 2,500 staff: roughly half of whom are teachers and the remaining half support staff.
One of the key statements that came to us from the CEO of AngliSchools, the Rev Peter Laurence OAM, was that AngliSchools story of growth is all well and good. However, what actually matters is that everything we do is grounded in our core values and lived out each day in what we do.
Our students regularly hear our six values mentioned in Chapel, RAVE and pastoral care: respect, excellence, justice, faith, integrity and inclusion. These values are lived out in such a way that we hope for each member of our school to become a worthwhile and caring member of our community. It was terrific to spend time with the staff from the other eastern state schools; as we do once a year. The 12 western state schools’ staff met in Perth recently as well.
